Irawan Prakoso Claims Seized Vehicles Belong to Him, Not Riza Chalid
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A relative of Mohamad Riza Chalid, Irawan Prakoso, stated that the five vehicles seized by the Attorney General’s Office belong to him, not to Riza Chalid.
“Yes, that’s correct, those are my assets that have been seized. But those cars are the result of my hard work, the sweat of my own brow. Right? There is absolutely no connection whatsoever with Mohamad Riza Chalid,” said Irawan, while giving testimony at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Tuesday (31/3/2026).
Irawan emphasised that the five cars currently seized by the Attorney General’s Office are his own.
“Not (Riza Chalid’s). Mine, my personal property,” said Irawan.
On this day, Irawan was examined as a witness in the continuation of the trial file for the case of the Director of Marketing and Trading at PT Pertamina (Persero) for the period April 2012-2014, Hanung Budya Yuktyanta, and former VP of Supply and Distribution at PT Pertamina (Persero), Alfian Nasution, for the corruption case involving the governance of crude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina (Persero).
In the trial, Irawan denied ever handling matters for PT OTM.
He denied ever meeting Hanung or Alfian to influence them into leasing Kerry’s fuel terminal to Pertamina.
“Is it true that in 2012, as Mohamad Riza Chalid’s trusted person, you conveyed a message from Mohamad Riza Chalid to Mr Hanung for Pertamina (Persero) to use the fuel terminal in Merak?” asked Hanung’s lawyer, Aldres Napitupulu, during the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Tuesday (31/3/2026).
“Never,” Irawan replied.
Irawan also denied ever conveying information regarding the Merak fuel terminal, originally owned by PT Oil Tanking Merak, which was to be purchased by Kerry.
