Iraqi Shepherd Discovers Israeli Secret Base; Local Soldiers Killed
Israel was reportedly building a secret military base in Iraq to facilitate attacks on Iran. The base was allegedly uncovered by a local shepherd. According to new details obtained by Al Arabiya, sources familiar with the information described how the base was found by the shepherd. They say that on 3 March, the shepherd and his brother went to the desert to hunt rabbits in the Shanana area, south of the al-Nukhaib Desert, southwest of the western Iraqi province of Anbar. The shepherd, born in 2001, later gave testimony to security forces, saying that he saw a drone monitoring his movements and those of his brother in the desert. As he continued the chase for rabbits, the pursuit led him to a location where unidentified security forces were stationed. An open-top vehicle then approached them from the direction of those forces.
