Iraqi Resistance Group Declares Readiness to Assist Iran in War Against US
TEHRAN — The Iraqi resistance group Kata’ib Hezbollah has affirmed that resistance factions in the region will engage directly and decisively if a war is waged against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement was made by Kata’ib Hezbollah’s Security Chief, Abu Mujahid al-Assaf, on Tuesday (14/7/2026), as quoted by Mehr News.
He stressed that his group’s stance is based on an ideological commitment that is non-negotiable.
“If a war breaks out against Iran, the participation of the resistance groups will be immediate and decisive,” Assaf said.
“This decision is based on conviction and the principles of struggle. There is no room for bargaining in this matter.”
Assaf added that supporting Iran is part of the ideological stance upheld by his group.
The statement comes amid renewed tensions following continued US military actions, which related parties have described as aggression against southern Iranian territory.
