In an exclusive NBC News interview from Tehran on Thursday (5 March), Araghchi rejected the notion of Iranian fear of a possible ground invasion. ‘No, we are waiting for them,’ he said when asked whether he feared the prospect of a US ground invasion. He said a land invasion would be a major disaster for the United States. He stated that Iran is prepared to confront the United States and Israel. ‘Because we are confident that we can face them, and it would be a major disaster for them,’ he added.
