Iran's National Security Council: Islamic Republic Will Send Netanyahu 'to Hell'

The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Major General Mohsen Rezaei, has said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will send Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ‘to hell’ and prove that his ‘great mistake’ has brought the Zionist regime closer to its end.

In an interview with Lebanese television channel Al-Manar on Thursday evening (27/8/2026), he said Tehran was observing the situation in Beirut and the southern region of Lebanon with high sensitivity.

According to Rezaei, those two areas are a red line for Iran. “We will send him to hell and we will prove that Netanyahu’s great mistake has brought the Zionist regime closer to its end,” Rezaei said, as reported by Fars and Tabnak.

A “swift and holy anger”, according to Rezaei, is currently forming across all corners of Iran, and one day that movement could turn from words into reality. According to Rezaei, Tehran regards security in Lebanon as part of security across the entire West Asia region.

He stressed that war and military operations in Lebanon, Gaza and Syria must stop, and the Israeli regime must withdraw from occupied Lebanese territory. If the conflict continues, Iran will prepare a new phase.

“Whatever the future holds will be different from what came before,” Rezaei said.

Regarding the conflict with the United States, Rezaei said one of the conditions Washington must fulfil is that the US must end the war across West Asia, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza, and Israeli attacks on Damascus must be halted.

“West Asia is like a chain. Those conditions are interconnected,” Rezaei said.
