Iran’s Latest Taunt: ‘Trump’ Imprisoned on a Billboard
Iran has staged its latest jibe at US President Donald Trump, placing a lookalike behind bars in a mock prison built on a billboard.
Reuters reported on Thursday (22 October 2026) that Iran had constructed a replica prison cell on a billboard in Tehran. An actor dressed as Trump was then placed inside it.
The person wore a Trump mask, complete with his distinctive blond hair, suit and red tie. The lookalike walked on top of the mock cell while holding its metal bars.
The display immediately caught the attention of Tehran residents. Many filmed it, while others stopped simply to watch the Trump lookalike being “imprisoned” on the billboard.
“During the air strike on Bandar Kuhestak, the US military attacked a wedding with a US-made missile and destroyed the family’s wedding celebration,” read the billboard.
This is not the first time Iran has mocked Trump. In early October, large billboards appeared at various locations across Tehran, ridiculing Trump and showing a US drone being crushed under an Iranian soldier’s boot.
Another large billboard depicted Trump’s lips sewn shut and his mouth silenced by the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway at the centre of tensions in the Iran conflict. It carried the words, “On the threshold.”
