Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: US-Israel Attacks Will Not Go Unanswered
Tehran (ANTARA) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) pledged that it would not permit US and Israel attacks to go unpunished and would retaliate against strikes on military and civilian facilities.
“The American and Israeli criminals must understand that not a single one of their crimes and killings will be left without retaliation. The war against the US and the Israeli regime will continue,” the IRGC said in a statement cited by IRIB television on Tuesday, 3 March.
The IRGC accused the US-Israel of attacking schools, hospitals, stadiums, restaurants, and wedding venues to instil panic among the Iranian public. They said civilian casualties have surpassed 700.
According to the IRGC, in the last 24 hours one family died as a result of a Tomahawk missile strike that hit a residential building in Oshnavieh. Five people were also reported killed when a US missile struck a private car in Salman.
A US missile also struck a house in the Kasemiyeh district, Urmia, killing an elderly couple, the IRGC said.
On 28 February, the US and Israel launched a series of strikes against several targets in Iran, including Tehran, with reports of damage and civilian casualties. Iranian state television confirmed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed in the attack.
Iran then launched a retaliatory missile attack into Israeli territory and at US military facilities in the Middle East.
