Iran's Armed Forces Vow Retaliation Against US Strikes in Southern Iran
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of Iran has vowed to deliver a firm response to US strikes in southern Iran, according to a report by Press TV on Wednesday. The command added that Iran will not allow the United States to interfere in affairs around the Strait of Hormuz. On Tuesday evening, US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the United States had launched a series of strikes against Iran in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Later that day, the command said it had completed the operation, striking more than 80 Iranian targets, including air defence systems, anti-ship missile systems, and small boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
