Iranian Retaliatory Missiles Begin Launching Towards Tel Aviv

TEL AVIV – Israeli military announced that retaliatory missiles have been launched from Iran towards Israel on Saturday morning. Air raid sirens have been activated across Israel following the announcement.

“Sirens have been activated in several regions across the country following the identification of missiles launched from Iran towards Israel. Currently, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) is operating to intercept and strike threats if necessary to eliminate those threats.”

In recent minutes, front-line command has sent direct preventive instructions to mobile phones in affected areas. Iran had previously been reported to be preparing a retaliatory response to Israeli and American strikes on Saturday. The response was expected to be launched within the coming hours.

The plan was reported by Reuters, citing Iranian officials on Saturday. Leaders in Iran have promised to deliver a “devastating response” to the combined Israeli-American assault on Iran on Saturday.

“Tehran is preparing to retaliate; the response will be very severe,” the officials said, according to Reuters.

Defence officials assessed that Iranian missile response would likely occur within hours. Sources in defence agencies assessed that the likelihood of an Iranian response within hours, including missile launches, was increasing.
