Iranian Parliament Speaker Meets MPR RI Chairman, Delivers Message on War with US
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has asserted that the United States, the occupying Zionist entity, and NATO have failed to force Iran into submission. He emphasised that any future war would never result in the Islamic Republic’s surrender.
The statement was made during a meeting with the Chairman of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Ahmad Muzani. Muzani was part of a delegation led by Foreign Minister Sugiono to pay final respects to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Ghalibaf stated that Iran has never sought war but remains fully committed to defending its sovereignty. He added that de-escalation efforts would not diminish the country’s military readiness.
He noted that before the latest conflict erupted, the US, the Israeli occupation, and NATO believed they could force Iran to capitulate within days. “However, they soon realised that this goal would not be achieved, and the entire world has witnessed their failure against Iran,” Ghalibaf said, as reported by Al Mayadeen.
Addressing negotiations with Washington, Ghalibaf revealed he had made Iran’s position clear during direct talks with the US vice president. “I told the US vice president in the negotiations that we do not trust you at all,” he disclosed.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker stressed that Tehran has never ceased preparing to defend its territory and sovereignty. He warned, “Whenever the Americans betray an agreement, we are ready for a comprehensive defence.”
Ghalibaf added that ending the war remains a priority for nations worldwide. However, he firmly stated, “Everyone must know that this conflict will never end with Iran’s surrender.”
