Iranian oil tankers said to have left US blockade zone

Beijing (ANTARA) - Iranian crude oil tankers have left the US blockade zone in the Gulf, according to TankerTrackers on Wednesday. The maritime intelligence firm, which tracks crude oil trade, marked the event as Iran’s first crude exports in two months, citing digital tracking data supported by satellite imagery. “According to Automatic Identification System (AIS) data we reinforced yesterday (15 June 2026) with satellite imagery, at least two VLCC supertankers belonging to National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), named DIONA (9569695) and HERO2 (9362073), have exited the perimeter carrying a total of 3.8 million barrels of Iranian crude,” the company wrote on social media platform X.
