Iranian Missiles Strike Again, US Stealth Jet Hangars in Jordan Reportedly Destroyed
The Iranian military has not ceased its retaliation for United States air strikes on several Iranian territories following the downing of an Apache helicopter. The conflict in West Asia is reported to be widening and undergoing significant escalation. After consistently targeting Bahrain for the past week, Iran has now set its sights on Jordan, which is believed to have assisted the recent US attacks. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its Aerospace Force has again launched strikes against the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The IRGC also claimed to have carried out attacks on Kuwait. The Kuwaiti military confirmed that its air defence systems intercepted projectiles coming from the direction of Iran. Al Jazeera reported that the most critical situation unfolded in Jordan. The IRGC stated it had targeted four specific objectives at Al Azraq Air Base, which has long served as a base for US military personnel. The attack, using long-range solid-fuel missiles, reportedly struck and destroyed hangars housing F-35 stealth fighter jets, as well as main command and control centres. Citing Al Jazeera, the IRGC emphasised that the missile attack on Jordan was part of completing a broader retaliation operation. Tehran claimed to have hit 21 targets at various US air and naval bases across the region, as well as shooting down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone that was deemed to have violated Iranian airspace.
