Jerusalem (ANTARA) - Debris from an Iranian missile intercepted on Thursday (19/3) struck Israel’s largest oil refinery in Haifa, northern Israel, causing damage, according to Israeli media. Israeli-owned television station Kan TV News reported that there are no concerns regarding hazardous material leaks. The report added that one person was injured from inhaling smoke, and several vehicles caught fire in the refinery complex. Israel’s Channel 12 News reported a power outage following the incident. Israeli Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen stated that “there is no significant damage to infrastructure sites in Israel.” Cohen added that the damage to the electricity network in the north is limited and electricity teams are working to restore power supply.
