Iranian Military Reportedly Ready for US Ground Invasion
The Iranian military has prepared various scenarios to confront a possible American attack, including a ground invasion, an Iranian military source told RIA Novosti on Thursday. “Our armed forces have prepared various scenarios to confront any new attack from the US, especially if Washington makes the mistake of launching a ground invasion,” the source said. The source also stated that any renewed attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities or infrastructure would be met with a response exceeding America’s expectations. According to the source, threats made by US President Donald Trump have actually increased the operational readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces to face a possible invasion. The source further asserted that responsibility for any consequences of escalating tensions lies with Washington. Meanwhile, the United States has launched strikes against Iran for the twelfth consecutive night, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM). CENTCOM said US forces began conducting additional strikes against Iranian military targets, as directed by the Commander-in-Chief, at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday. “This mission will continue to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters,” CENTCOM wrote on platform X.
