Iranian Military Reportedly Ready for US Ground Invasion

Tehran (ANTARA) - The Iranian military has prepared various scenarios to counter a possible American attack, including a ground invasion, according to an Iranian military source speaking to RIA Novosti in remarks published on Thursday.

“Our armed forces have readied various scenarios to confront any renewed American attack, particularly if Washington makes the mistake of launching a ground invasion,” the source said.

The source also stated that any renewed strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities or infrastructure would be met with a response exceeding American expectations.

According to the source, the threats issued by US President Donald Trump have in fact increased the operational readiness of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to face a possible invasion.

The source further stressed that responsibility for any consequences arising from an escalation of tensions lies with Washington.

Meanwhile, the United States launched a further attack on Iran for the twelfth consecutive night, according to the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

CENTCOM said American forces began carrying out additional strikes against Iranian military targets, on the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, at 17.30 Eastern Time on Wednesday (04.30 WIB, Thursday).

“This mission will continue in order to further reduce Iran’s ability to threaten civilian sailors and commercial vessels transiting the region’s waters,” CENTCOM wrote on the X platform.
