Iranian Foreign Ministry says agreement text with US nearly finalised
MOSCOW (ANTARA) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has confirmed that the main points of a memorandum of understanding with the United States have been agreed upon.
Earlier on Thursday (11/6), US President Donald Trump stated that the final points of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran had been agreed to by all involved parties, including Israel, and that the deal could be finalised within the coming days.
“Substantively, the text of the agreement is almost complete in its main parts. The problem is that the contradictory stance of the United States always causes turbulence and disruption in this process,” Baghaei said, as quoted by Press TV on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, news portal Axios, citing its sources, reported that the Iranian side has approved the agreement at a high level and is now awaiting the approval of Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
