The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Indonesia has stated that the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel conducted acts of aggression on the morning of Saturday, 28 February 2026, launching attacks against civilian locations including schools and targeting Iranian citizens observing the holy month of Ramadan, whilst violating the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“With deep regret, in this barbaric attack, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, achieved martyrdom at his office,” said the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia in an official press statement on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

The Iranian Embassy in Indonesia stated that in the initial hours, several schools became targets of missiles from the US and the Zionist regime. In this brutal attack, a primary school in Minab District was completely destroyed and nearly 200 innocent schoolgirls were killed.

The US and the Zionist regime claim they will assist the Iranian people. Using the same pretext, they hijacked peaceful protests by Iranians in January 2026 into violent riots. Now it is apparent how they “assist” the Iranian people, with missile attacks against innocent women and children in primary schools, sports clubs, residential homes, and elsewhere, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

In Ramadan 2003, the US also claimed to be assisting the Iraqi people. Since then, all that the Iraqi people have received is death, destruction, and suffering. The peoples of Libya and Afghanistan have likewise experienced American “assistance”. US intervention and aggression against other nations has resulted in nothing but death and destruction.

US hostility towards Iran is not new and is rooted in seven decades of Iranian history. US intervention, aggression, and hostility towards Iran began with the coup of 19 August 1953 (28 Mordad 1332) that overthrew the government of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, Prime Minister of Iran at that time, and continued with subsequent actions.
