The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia has appreciated the donations amounting to more than Rp9 billion from the Indonesian people for the Iranian citizens. “The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran extends its utmost thanks to the Indonesian people for their trust, support, and participation,” according to a statement from the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia, as monitored in Jakarta on Wednesday. While conveying this appreciation, the Iranian Embassy also provided a public report on the process of fundraising from the community. “Alhamdulillah, this humanitarian initiative has received a wide and extraordinary response from the Indonesian people,” the statement added. As of Tuesday (14/4), 24,369 people from various segments of society have participated in the donations, resulting in funds exceeding Rp9 billion. The Iranian Embassy also stated that this reflects the noble values of the Indonesian people in upholding humanity and helping those in need. The fundraising began on 17 March 2026 through Bank BRI with account number 02061002438302. The Iranian Embassy announced that the fundraising process will continue until 30 April 2026. Until that time, the Iranian Embassy will continue to accept humanitarian contributions through the designated official account. After the fundraising period ends, all collected funds will be distributed through official mechanisms and in coordination with relevant institutions, namely through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to the Red Crescent of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Finally, the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia expressed thanks and prayers for the welfare of all Indonesian people.
