Iranian Embassy Expresses Condolences over Death of TNI Personnel in UNIFIL

In a message of condolence posted on the Instagram account @iraninindonesia on Monday, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesia condemned the heinous incident as a direct result of Israel’s ongoing aggression, supported by the United States. “We strongly condemn this heinous act, which is a direct result of Israel’s ongoing aggression, carried out with the full involvement and support of the United States,” the statement read. The Indonesian government has also strongly condemned the attack that killed a member of the Garuda Contingent in UNIFIL and urged a full investigation into the incident. The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) stated that the personnel was killed by artillery fire near the position of the Indonesian UNIFIL contingent in the vicinity of Adchit Al Qusayr, southern Lebanon, on Sunday (29/3).
