Iranian Drone Strikes US Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired a drone targeting the United States Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Iranian state television claimed the drone struck the US aircraft carrier. However, details including the extent of the damage have not been disclosed. Meanwhile, according to AFP on Friday, 6 March 2026, the Pentagon denied Iran’s claim. The US Department of Defense headquarters said that Iran’s missiles and drones did not come close to the target. The Iranian military has also recently launched drone strikes at Kuwait. Iran targeted US forces at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. According to Al Jazeera and AFP, on Thursday, 5 March, Iran said it had launched a drone at the US base at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The report was conveyed by the semi-official Tasnim News Agency. Iran also launched at Camp Udairi where US forces are. Iranian combat drones were launched.
