Iranian Ambassador Meets Jokowi in Solo, Served Lontong Sayur and Nasi Goreng
The Ambassador of Iran to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, visited the home of Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in Solo, Central Java. Jokowi hosted Boroujerdi with dishes including lontong sayur and nasi goreng.
According to detikJateng on Wednesday (1/4/2026), Boroujerdi arrived at Jokowi’s residence at 11.40 WIB. Boroujerdi also extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Jokowi.
“Assalamualaikum, selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri,” greeted Boroujerdi, welcomed by Jokowi.
After exchanging greetings, Jokowi invited Boroujerdi into the house. The two had lunch together.
At the dining table, Jokowi served several dishes available. Jokowi presented fried chicken with crispy batter, Aceh noodles, sunny-side-up eggs, lontong sayur, goat curry, nasi goreng, and sambal.
Boroujerdi appeared enthusiastic about the meal served by Jokowi. He also wished to invite Jokowi to his residence to try Iranian specialties.
“I would like to invite Your Excellency (Jokowi) to try tasting food from Iran at my residence in Jakarta. Of course, I very much hope that Your Excellency can accept the invitation. It would be an honour,” said Boroujerdi to Jokowi.
