Iranian Ambassador Expresses Appreciation for Indonesian Solidarity with Iran

Jakarta – Iran’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, has expressed deep appreciation to the Indonesian government and people for their solidarity, support, and attention towards the Iranian people.

“We convey our profound appreciation to the Indonesian government and all Indonesian society for the solidarity, support, and attention given to the Iranian people,” said Boroujerdi in a video message posted on his official social media account on Wednesday.

He stated that the Indonesian people have demonstrated support in various ways, including sending hundreds of floral arrangements, hundreds to thousands of letters, and even visiting Iran’s embassy in Jakarta directly to express condolences and condemn the US-Israeli attacks.

“May the spirit of humanity, brotherhood, and solidarity between Indonesia and Iran remain protected and grow ever stronger,” he said.

Ambassador Boroujerdi explained that since 28 February, Iran has been subjected to brutal and savage attacks by the Zionist enemy and imperialist America, with Iranian residential homes being bombed every hour.

“The enemy has not adhered to international codes of conduct or behaviour that must be observed during wartime, from attacking primary schools, killing children, to making Iran’s spiritual leader a martyr,” he said.

Additionally, he said, the enemy has attacked the Dena frigate, cultural and historical centres, universities, state infrastructure, and the environment, killing civilians and creating severe environmental pollution.

“The enemy has shown no restraint and has violated all red lines of international ethics and norms,” he said.

On 28 February, the United States and Israel launched attacks against multiple targets in Iran, including Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties.

Iran responded by attacking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
