Jakarta - The Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, conveyed his appreciation to the Indonesian government for its willingness to play the role of facilitator in efforts to create peace in the Middle East region.

“I also express my utmost appreciation and gratitude to the government of the Republic of Indonesia, which, after the US-Israel war against Iran, has shown willingness and readiness to bridge for the realisation of peace, to become a facilitator in achieving peace in that region,” stated Boroujerdi.

This was conveyed by Boroujerdi during a meeting with several Indonesian Islamic figures in Jakarta on Friday.

Furthermore, he stated that Indonesia’s commitment represents an important step in promoting the creation of stability and sustainable peace in the region.

“I also express my utmost and special thanks to Prof. Syamsuddin as the chairman of CDCC for his extensive efforts in creating enduring and eternal peace, both in the region and in the world,” said Boroujerdi.

On the same occasion, Boroujerdi invited the entire Muslim ummah, especially Muslims in Indonesia, to unite in campaigning against war.

“Therefore, it is fitting for Muslims, it is obligatory for Muslims to unite so that we can face together the attacks and wars launched by Zionists and also together with America,” he said.

“This Zionist regime opposes all religions, opposes Islam, opposes Christianity, opposes even non-Zionist Jews. They oppose everything, not allowing Muslims to perform their worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he added.
