Iranian Ambassador Appreciates Indonesia's Readiness to Facilitate US-Iran Peace

The Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, has expressed appreciation to the Indonesian government for its readiness to become a facilitator of peace in the conflict between the United States (US)-Israel and Iran. Boroujerdi invited Muslims to unite against the US and Israel.

“Here, I also extend my utmost appreciation and thanks to the government of the Republic of Indonesia, which, after the American-Israeli war against Iran, has shown willingness and readiness, stating its readiness to bridge for the realisation of peace, to become a facilitator in creating peace in that region,” said Mohammad Boroujerdi to reporters in South Jakarta on Friday (3/4/2026).

Boroujerdi stated that the US conflict with Iran has had broad impacts reaching various countries, including Indonesia. He said that the US and Israel must take responsibility for the effects of the war that has occurred.

“However, what we must regret and question is who actually caused this impact, the causes. Of course, we all see that it was America and Israel who started the war. Therefore, they are the ones who should be responsible for the impacts that have occurred in the world, including in Indonesia,” he explained.

“We must also be wise in distinguishing between the victims and the causes of the war. Do not let them be confused, with the perpetrators becoming victims and the victims becoming perpetrators,” he added.

In addition, Boroujerdi called for an anti-US war campaign with Iran. He invited Muslims to unite in facing the global conflict.

“It is best for Muslims; it is obligatory for Muslims to unite so that they can face together the attacks and wars launched by Zionists and also together with America,” he concluded.
