Iran warns Middle Eastern nations against permitting US attacks

Tehran (ANTARA) - The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters of Iran and the General Staff of the Armed Forces have warned Middle Eastern nations against allowing the United States to utilise their land and airspace to launch attacks against Iran.

“Despite previous warnings and official statements from several countries in the region asserting that they would never allow American troops to use their land and airspace, US forces continue to use such territories to attack our country and several Iranian military facilities,” according to a statement published by the Iranian broadcaster, IRIB, on Monday (31/8).

On Sunday (30/8), Iranian media reported US attacks on Larak Island in Iran. Axios journalist Barak Ravid, quoting a US official, stated that the US allegedly attacked Iranian missile launchers on the island.

Meanwhile, Press TV reported that Iran has retaliated by firing missiles at US ships in the Strait of Hormuz as well as US bases across the Middle East.
