Iran Threatens US: Ali Larijani States Donald Trump Will Regret Actions

Tensions in the Middle East have reached boiling point. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran will make US President Donald Trump pay a heavy price for the military aggression launched against the nation.

This stark statement was issued by Larijani in response to Trump’s claim that he seeks a swift victory in this armed conflict. Larijani warned that the US has made a fatal miscalculation.

“Trump says he is seeking a quick victory. Although starting a war is easy, war cannot be won with just a few tweets. We will not surrender until we make you regret this serious miscalculation,” Larijani wrote through his official X account on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Previously, on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, President Donald Trump stated that Iran’s position was now nearly at a dead end. In sharp rhetoric, Trump threatened to destroy Iran’s entire electrical capacity in just one hour, although he expressed hope that such an extreme measure would not prove necessary.

Reports from the field indicate deeply tragic humanitarian consequences. One of the brutal US attacks struck a girls’ school in southern Iran, resulting in the deaths of nearly 200 schoolgirls. To date, Iran estimates that the total number of deaths from US and Israeli air strikes has exceeded 1,200 people.
