Iran Threatens All-Out Attack on Regional Infrastructure in Retaliation Against Trump

The Iranian military has threatened to launch an all-out attack on all infrastructure in the region if its own infrastructure is struck. The threat was issued after United States President Donald Trump warned he would expand strikes against Iran next week, targeting civilian infrastructure including power plants and bridges. “If the recent empty threats by the US president for the American military to attack the infrastructure of the Islamic Republic are actually carried out, then everything that, due to Iran’s restraint, has remained intact so far – namely, all infrastructure throughout the entire region – will be destroyed under the heavy attacks of the powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic, such that no trace will remain, as if it never existed,” said Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Military Headquarters, as reported by Iranian media Press TV on Thursday. He also condemned the US administration for continuing unlawful actions. Zolfaqari further stressed that Iran would never allow the United States, as a foreign power outside the region, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz, which he described as an “inviolable red line” for the Islamic Republic. “Let the foolish enemy know: for us, the moment of epic action is not a moment for restraint. What the armed forces of Iran carry out is not an equal attack; it is a superior attack. The strikes will be more intense, extensive, and destructive than before. The wrath of a nation that never surrenders will burn the aggressor,” he added. In a separate development on Thursday, the Public Relations Department of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that its naval forces had carried out a “devastating attack on the US base at Sheikh Isa, Bahrain.”
