Iran Suspected of Reducing Oil Production Due to US Blockade
Moscow (ANTARA) - Iran is suspected of starting to reduce the volume of its oil production due to the blockade imposed by the United States Navy, according to a Bloomberg report citing senior officials. Tehran is cutting oil production as a precautionary measure to ensure oil capacity does not become insufficient, rather than waiting for tanks to fill completely. However, Bloomberg did not specify in detail the country of origin of the officials who provided the information. According to the American private news agency focused on economic issues, Iranian engineers are able to shut down oil wells and still conduct production activities without causing serious damage.
