Iran Strikes US Military Facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar in Retaliatory Attack

Iran has launched a series of retaliatory strikes against several United States military facilities in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain in response to US attacks in southern Iran, according to a report by Iranian state broadcaster Press TV. Responding to the US strikes, the Iranian military deployed drones to attack a Patriot air defence system, an ammunition depot, and US military radar facilities in Kuwait. The Patriot air defence system is an American-made apparatus for detecting, tracking, and destroying missiles. Several countries in the Persian Gulf region are recorded as possessing the system, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The report added that Iran also struck a communications facility and a military radar installation in Bahrain. Iranian forces also launched ballistic missile attacks targeting the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the broadcaster reported, citing a statement from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Al Udeid Air Base is the largest United States military base in the Middle East region.
