Iran Still Possesses Secret Advanced Weapons, Ready to Be Used If the US Attacks Again
Tehran — A military source in Iran told RIA Novosti that Iran possesses advanced weapons that have not been used in warfare in its conflict with the United States and Israel. On 18 May, citing a source familiar with the matter, CNN reported that the Pentagon had prepared a list of strike targets in Iran should President Donald Trump order to continue attacks on the country. “We have produced domestically advanced weapons that have not been deployed on the battlefield and have not been tested,” the Iranian source said, commenting on Tehran’s readiness for the possibility of further US strikes. According to the source, Tehran does not lack assets ready to be deployed to defend the country. “In terms of equipment and defensive capabilities, we lack nothing that would prevent us from defending our nation. This time, we do not intend to hold back,” the source said. On Wednesday (20 May 2026), the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning that renewed aggression by the US and Israel against Iran would trigger a broader war extending beyond the Middle East. The IRGC stressed that Iran would mount a retaliatory strike that the enemy would not anticipate. In a statement quoted by Mehr News on Wednesday (20 May 2026), the IRGC referred to the “American-Zionist” foe, stating that Washington and Israel have failed to learn from repeated strategic defeats and continue to threaten. The IRGC said that even if the US and Israel launched a full-scale attack, Iran had not yet deployed its full retaliatory capabilities. If aggression continues, the IRGC warned, “the war in the region that had been promised this time will expand beyond the region (the Middle East), and our crushing blow will bring you to wreckage that you cannot imagine.”
