Iran Retaliates! Swift Attack Strikes Israel Following Ali Larijani's Death
Escalation in the Middle East has reached a critical point after Iran formally launched a massive aerial assault against Israel. This action was undertaken as retaliation for the death of Ali Larijani, Iran’s highest-ranking national security advisor.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed they had initiated an “intense” attack against Israeli territory as an act of retribution. This announcement followed stern declarations from Iranian military leadership who vowed to exact heavy consequences on those responsible for the killing.
Prior to the assault, Sardar Mousavi, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Forces, issued a forceful signal regarding this military operation through Iranian state media.
“Tonight, the enemy’s sky will be more spectacular for you,” Mousavi stated when announcing the planned swift operation.
In a similar vein, Iran’s Army Commander, Major General Amir Hatami, affirmed that Tehran would not remain silent over the loss of one of its key figures. According to the Tasnim news agency, Hatami declared that Iran’s response would be “decisive and regrettable” for its opponents.
“The blood of this noble martyr and other honourable martyrs will be avenged,” Hatami asserted firmly.
The tension extended beyond Israel. Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, issued a stern warning directly aimed at United States President Donald Trump. He claimed that Iran’s armed forces had prepared a surprise that exceeded the enemy’s imagination.
“US President Donald Trump should await a surprise from us. The response of the armed forces will be more destructive than the actions and imagination of the enemy, and this course will continue until he surrenders,” Abdollahi stated.
Meanwhile, Iran’s senior advisor Ali Akbar Velayati characterised this action as Iran’s attempt to deliver a “powerful blow to the ugly face of global arrogance,” a term referring to the United States and Israel alliance.
As of now, the situation in the region remains highly tense. No official reports have emerged regarding the scale of destruction or casualties from the intense assault, though Iran has affirmed that this operation represents part of its commitment to preserving national sovereignty and honour.
