Iran Reports US Strikes Hit Wheat Silo in Khuzestan Amid Escalating Tensions

A wheat silo and another site in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province were struck by American projectiles on Tuesday evening, according to a provincial official cited by the Fars News Agency. Valiollah Hayati, deputy governor of Khuzestan for security and law enforcement, stated that the silo in Hoveyzeh and a location in Dasht-e Azadegan were hit, adding that no casualties had been reported so far. Investigations into the impact of the strikes are ongoing, with further details expected to be announced.

Earlier the same day, US President Donald Trump said that attacks on Iran would continue and intensify in the coming days. Tensions between the two nations have escalated recently over the Strait of Hormuz, with both sides exchanging fire despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding intended to end the conflict and reach a sustainable peace agreement. Iran has also written to the United Nations accusing the United States of violating the Islamabad MoU.
