Iran Remains Undefeated, US Ammunition Runs Low, Trump Warned by His Generals

Iran passed another night without a US air attack on Sunday (26/7/2026). Washington has temporarily halted strikes that were approaching their fifth month, amid reports of concern over America’s depleting munitions stocks.

US media reported that the pause in attacks may reflect pressure on supplies of Patriot interceptors and other defensive weaponry.

According to Al Arabiya, the pause has revived hopes on both sides for a return to negotiations, after nearly two weeks of consecutive nightly bombings by the United States.

Earlier, fighting in the strategic Strait of Hormuz derailed diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran. The conflict then spread beyond the vital energy corridor to include attacks on US bases, regional shipping, and Gulf allies.

“US operations against Iran have been suspended,” CNN reported, citing an unnamed Pentagon source.

The military operations were suspended even as US President Donald Trump threatened to launch attacks at a far higher level last Friday.

“Plans to escalate the military campaign have been partly delayed because of diminishing supplies,” The New York Times reported, citing two people briefed on the matter.

“Trump also faces the risk of a broader war in the Middle East and further shocks to the global economy,” the newspaper said.
