Iran prepared to deploy new weapons if the United States attacks

Tehran (ANTARA) — Iran possesses advanced weapons that have not yet been used on the battlefield in its confrontation with the United States and Israel, a senior Iranian military source told RIA Novosti. On 18 May, citing a source familiar with the matter, CNN reported that the Pentagon had prepared a list of strike targets in Iran should U.S. President Donald Trump order further attacks on the country. “We have produced sophisticated weapons domestically that have not been used on the battlefield and have not been tested,” the Iranian source said, commenting on Iran’s readiness for a possible U.S. strike. According to the source, Tehran does not lack assets ready to be used to fend off an attack. “In terms of equipment and defensive capabilities, we lack nothing that would prevent us from defending our country. This time, we do not intend to hold back,” the source said.
