Iran Outraged as US Retaliates: Leave Our Territory If You Want Safety

The United States announced retaliatory strikes after an Apache helicopter crashed in the Strait of Hormuz. Responding to the statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi demanded that the US immediately leave its territory if it wishes to be safe. “Leave our territory if you want to be safe,” Araghchi said via his official X account. He pledged that no attack from the US would go unanswered. Iran remains determined to confront aggression. “Despite being defeated on the battlefield, the US has chosen to test our resolve. Our powerful armed forces will not let any attack or threat go unanswered,” Araghchi said. The statement came after the US conducted initial strikes targeting Iranian air defence and radar systems around the Strait of Hormuz, according to two sources. Earlier, the United States announced the strikes in response to the Apache helicopter crash in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media reported several explosions along Iran’s southern coast near the Strait of Hormuz. Local Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in several locations in Hormozgan province, including on Qeshm Island and along the coast near the strait. Some reported the presence of US fighter jets. Minutes later, Iranian state broadcaster IRIB announced that the airstrikes along the southern coast of Iran near the Strait of Hormuz had ceased. The situation was reported to have calmed. “The situation is now reported to be calm,” IRIB said on Telegram.
