Iran on Netanyahu Video Appearance: If Still Alive, We Will Continue to Pursue Him
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent video appearance, during which he had been reported dead. The IRGC stated it would continue to target Netanyahu.
“If this child-murdering criminal is still alive, we will continue to pursue and kill him with full force,” the IRGC said on its website, Sepah News, according to reports from AFP on Sunday, 15 March 2026.
Rumours had circulated suggesting Netanyahu had been killed. In the midst of this speculation, social media posts emerged showing Netanyahu delivering remarks.
Several users raised concerns about a Netanyahu video from 13 March, which appeared to show him with six fingers on one hand, leading to suspicions that the footage had been edited using artificial intelligence or AI.
The war between Israel, the United States, and Iran has been ongoing since 28 February 2026. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was Iran’s Supreme Leader at the time, was killed in the initial strike by both nations.
Since then, both sides have exchanged missile strikes. Iran retaliated by attacking Israel, US military bases in Gulf region countries, and closing the Strait of Hormuz.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had previously ‘disappeared’, triggering rumours about his safety. According to Reuters, Netanyahu re-emerged on Friday, 13 March 2026. He appeared standing between two Israeli flags and answered questions via video link.
Netanyahu stated that Iran “is no longer the same” following nearly two weeks of bombing. He even claimed that the IRGC and Basij paramilitary forces had suffered losses.
He also pledged to continue attacking Lebanon’s Hezbollah in response to a Hezbollah attack on Monday, 2 March. When asked what steps Israel would take against Iran and Hezbollah, he declined to disclose details.
