Iran launches Khorramshahr-4, Kheibar and Fattah missiles in 22nd wave of attacks
Tehran – The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday (6 March 2026) the 22nd wave of attacks as part of Operation True Promise 4. According to IRNA, in this wave the IRGC released a video collage showing the launches of Khorramshahr-4, Kheibar, and Fattah missiles toward Israel.
A day earlier, Iran used cluster missiles capable of delivering bomblets in their latest strike against Tel Aviv, Israel, on Thursday (6 March 2026). Anadolu reported that fragments from Iranian missiles fell in the heart of the city and around the capital’s vicinity.
Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, reported on Friday (6 March 2026) that parts of Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv were burning following a strike by Iranian ballistic missiles. Several Israeli media outlets published photos and videos showing fires and damage.
During the Thursday night attack, sirens wailed across Tel Aviv and other parts of central Israel. Local residents were instructed to remain in shelters.
Haaretz reported that the latest Iranian attack caused significant damage to several buildings in central Israel. According to the report, the Thursday night attack was described as very severe, with Israel and the US air defence systems failing to intercept the incoming Iranian missiles.
Another newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, reported that after the interception system failed to halt the missiles on Thursday night, waves of fear and panic spread in the Tel Aviv area.
