Iran Issues Severe Threat to Israel: Missile Attacks Will Meet with Devastating Response
The Iranian Foreign Ministry has warned that any further military action by Israel against Iran or Lebanon will be met with what has been described as a devastating and comprehensive response. In a statement, the ministry asserted that Iran’s recent missile attacks against Israel were carried out in response to what it considers Zionist violations of the ceasefire agreement.
“Tehran will act whenever deemed necessary to defend its interests,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated. This warning follows reports of Iranian missile launches towards northern Israel, marking the first such attack reported since the ceasefire came into effect on 8 April.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has characterised these missile strikes as warning shots. The IRGC emphasised that any response from Israel would trigger even more intense and comprehensive retaliation. According to Al Jazeera, the IRGC’s statement suggests that Iran does not intend to continue missile attacks against Israel; however, Tehran maintains its stance to strike back should the Zionist forces violate the ceasefire once again. Meanwhile, Israel’s large-scale aggression in Lebanon amidst the ceasefire has drawn widespread international condemnation.
