JERUSALEM – Israel’s military spending in the first 20 days of the war against Iran reached around $6.4 billion (Rp 108.3 trillion), as reported by the daily Haaretz citing anonymous sources. The newspaper stated that the average daily expenditure amounted to about one billion shekels (approximately $320 million/Rp 5.4 trillion) during that period.

The total budget allocated to manage this war reaches around 39 billion shekels (approximately $12.5 billion/Rp 211.5 trillion). The source also mentioned that the current spending rate allows for projections regarding the duration of the military campaign.

Israel’s military is reportedly preparing to request additional budget, according to the report.

The Israeli government on Sunday approved an emergency budget allocation of $825 million (Rp 13.9 trillion) for procuring “urgent security needs” amid reports of increasing shortages of interceptor missiles.

Tel Aviv is expected to revise its 2026 spending plan to fund these purchases, as reported by Israel’s Channel 12.

These figures add to the picture of the enormous financial impact of the conflict. The United States has spent around $12 billion since the start of military operations, White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said on Sunday.

The Pentagon has separately requested that the White House approve an additional funding package of more than $200 billion to be submitted to Congress.

The US and Israeli attacks on Iran began on 28 February and have reportedly killed around 1,300 people so far, including Iran’s then Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
