Iran Exposes Alleged US Deception Tactic in Arms Sales to Kuwait

The United States government provoked an attack by launching a drone strike on Kuwait International Airport in order to sell its anti-drone air defence system to the country, stated Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei. Previously, on Wednesday (3/6), Kuwaiti Defence Ministry spokesman Saud Al-Atwan stated that the passenger terminal at Kuwait International Airport suffered severe damage as a result of a drone attack. Kuwait Health Ministry spokesman Abdullah Al-Sanad reported that more than 60 people were injured in the incident, including passengers and airport staff. "The pieces of this puzzle are being revealed very quickly. They conducted a false-flag operation by deploying mock Lucas drones to attack Kuwait Airport, creating the perfect pretext to market the Powerus-made anti-drone air defence system under the guise of self-protection from an Iranian attack. Very profitable!" Baqaei said in a post on social media platform X on Tuesday (9/6). Meanwhile, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Hossein Mohebbi had earlier stated that the destruction at Kuwait International Airport was the result of an operational error in the Patriot air defence system. Mohebbi stressed that the Iranian military did not fire any missiles towards the airport terminal. The United States will tighten oversight of the transfer of ownership of American-made weapons from buyers to third parties, according to an executive order by US President Donald Trump.
