Jakarta — The Iranian Embassy in Indonesia has issued a statement regarding the attack by the United States and the Israeli regime on Saturday, 28 February 2026, stating that it constitutes a violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter and represents a clear act of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will exercise their full right in order to preserve the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran by providing a firm and strong response to the aggression of the Israeli regime and the United States,” stated the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

As a founding member of the United Nations, whose primary objective is to prevent aggression, breach of peace, and threats to peace, the Islamic Republic of Iran has emphasised the responsibility of the UN Security Council to take immediate action in response to the breach of international peace and security resulting from the overt aggression of the Israeli regime against Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has also requested that the Chair and Members of the Security Council take steps regarding this matter. Referencing multiple grave violations of the UN Charter, international law, human rights, and international humanitarian law committed by the United States and the Israeli regime over recent decades, the Iranian Embassy in Indonesia has condemned these actions as a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.

The embassy called upon the Indonesian government and people, political leaders, religious and Islamic organisations, academics, and the media to firmly and openly condemn the outbreak of war and aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
