Iran Deploys New-Generation Missiles to Attack Israel and US Bases
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 23rd wave of attacks in the ‘Operation True Promise 4’, highlighting the deployment of a new generation of missile systems against targets in Israeli territory and American bases in the Middle East. In a statement on Friday (6 March local time), the IRGC’s Public Relations Office said the latest phase of the operation was carried out that day as part of a joint drone-and-missile assault. According to the statement, the latest wave involved advanced missile systems designed to strike multiple targets. ‘In this wave, the new generation of solid- and liquid-fuel missiles will target targets in the occupied territory and American bases in the region,’ the IRGC said in its statement, quoted by Iranian media Press TV on Saturday (7 March 2026). It was noted that the missiles hit a number of US military installations across the area. ‘The headquarters of the US terrorist forces at Sheikh Isa, Juffair, Ali al-Salem, and al-Azraq bases are among the targets struck in this wave,’ the statement said, referring to America’s frontline posts in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The IRGC also said that targets inside the occupied territory were struck during the operation as well. ‘Also in the sensitive and important Be’er Sheva area in the occupied territory, the advanced technology hub, cyber security facilities, and military support centre are among the targets,’ the IRGC said, referring to the occupied city that serves as the tech hub of the regime in Israel. Earlier, the IRGC said another phase of Operation True Promise 4 had begun, boasting ‘a flawless missile launch from the IRGC’s uninterrupted missile base chain.’ The previous phase, ‘firmly destroying the arrogant propaganda of global oppression that claims Iran’s defence capabilities are weakened or missile- and drone-related operations are faltering,’ the IRGC said. The IRGC said the operation involved advanced missile systems, including Khorramshahr-4, Kheibar, and Fattah missiles. According to the statement, the missile strikes hit targets across the occupied territory and facilities linked to US forces in the region.
