Iran Denies Plot to Kill Trump's Youngest Son: Netanyahu's Deception!

Iran has denied reports claiming Tehran planned to target Barron Trump, the youngest son of United States (US) President Donald Trump, in an attack. Authorities in Tehran condemned such reports as ‘fabricated propaganda’.

The denial and condemnation, as reported by Anadolu Agency and Middle East Monitor on Saturday (29/8/2026), were delivered by the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, in a statement this week.

Rezaei also described the report as a ‘Netanyahu trick’, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

‘The claim about a plan targeting Trump’s son is nothing but a big lie designed by Netanyahu to deceive and frighten the US President,’ Rezaei said in his statement, as quoted by the ISNA news agency.

He stressed that Iran has no intention of targeting members of Trump’s family.

Rezaei’s denial came after Iranian state television recently aired an AI-generated video containing information about the residence and movements of Barron Trump in New York, US.

The video, broadcast by Iran’s Channel 3, was widely interpreted as a death threat against Trump’s youngest son.

Tensions between Iran and the US remain high since the conflict began with a large-scale attack by Washington and its ally, Israel, in late February. Tehran retaliated by targeting US military positions and assets in the Middle East region.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in June, following mediation by Pakistan and Qatar, aimed at ending hostilities and paving the way for negotiations.

However, implementation of the MoU has faced obstacles, with Tehran accusing Washington of failing to meet its commitments. The fighting, which had temporarily halted, flared up again after the US and Iran exchanged attacks once more in July.
