Iran Denies Negotiating with US, Trump Furious and Issues Ultimatum

US President Donald Trump has reacted furiously after Iran denied it was negotiating with the United States, threatening that a military blockade would continue until a deal is reached or there is total surrender.

In an angry post on his Truth Social platform, Trump criticised Iran for not agreeing to any discussions. He claimed the Iranian leadership was hypocritical for requesting meetings while publicly stating they were not holding talks and were only dealing with Oman.

Trump continued his tirade by dismissing Iranian rhetoric regarding the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the waterway is fully controlled by the US Navy. He then presented Iran with an ultimatum, stating that nothing would get through unless a deal or total surrender was achieved, and vowed that Iran would never possess a nuclear weapon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei responded by confirming that Tehran is not currently negotiating with the United States. He stated that Iran’s discussions are solely with Oman, focusing on securing a temporary safe route through the Strait of Hormuz. Baghaei added that any agreement with Oman would be insufficient to reopen the strait as long as US aggression persists.
