Iran Claims Israeli Attacks Fully Coordinated with the US

Iran has stated that the recent wave of Israeli attacks against the country was fully coordinated with the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). “The direct responsibility of the United States for the actions of the Zionist regime is clear, and the consequences of increasing tensions will also be borne by the US,” said Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press conference, as reported by the IRNA news agency on Monday.

Baqaei also condemned the approach taken by Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), regarding the Iran case, describing it as political and irresponsible.

Previously, Israeli airstrikes targeted a petrochemical company in southwestern Iran, causing partial damage to the industrial complex, according to Iranian officials. The Middle East region has remained under significant tension since the US and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran in late February, triggering retaliatory actions from Iran against Israel and other regional nations hosting US military assets. While Iran and the US subsequently agreed to a temporary ceasefire on 8 April, ongoing negotiations have since stalled due to disputes over implementation and further regional developments.
