Iran Attacks US Air Bases in Bahrain and Kuwait

Tehran (ANTARA) - Iran’s armed forces launched missile and drone strikes against US air bases at Sheikh Isa in Bahrain and Ali al-Salem in Kuwait, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday. According to the IRGC, a number of MQ-9 Reaper drones and weapons and spare parts warehouses were destroyed in the attacks. “During the operation, using missiles and drones, several enemy weapons and spare parts warehouses and MQ-9 Reaper drones were destroyed at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. A site housing MQ-9 drones at Ali al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait was also struck, destroying and damaging a number of drones,” the IRGC said, as quoted by state broadcaster IRIB. The operation was reportedly carried out in retaliation for US strikes on several Iranian military facilities in the south.
