Tehran - Iranian forces attacked several radar sites located in Kuwait, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday. “As part of phase 24 of Operation Nasr-2, the brave fighters of the IRGC continued to clear the radar systems area by attacking the early warning radar and tactical radar complex near the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, as well as the radar facility on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait, destroying and disabling them,” the IRGC statement said. The US military launched several series of attacks against Iran starting on 8 July. US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed the attacks were in response to Iranian actions against commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian forces subsequently retaliated by targeting US airbases in several Middle Eastern countries. On 9 July, US President Donald Trump stated that a previously agreed ceasefire with Iran was no longer in effect.
