TEHRAN (ANTARA) - President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, in a phone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, emphasised the importance of strengthening unity and convergence, as well as developing bilateral relations among Islamic nations. During the conversation with PM Anwar on Tuesday (26 May), President Pezeshkian extended Eid al-Adha greetings to the Malaysian government and people, stressing the need to continue economic and political consultations between the two countries. Pezeshkian expressed hope that regional diplomatic efforts would yield effective results and contribute to sustainable peace and stability. He also called for Muslim unity to confront the crimes of the Zionist regime of Israel and the United States. During the call, Pezeshkian invited Anwar to visit Tehran to follow up on mutual agreements and expand bilateral cooperation. Meanwhile, Malaysia extended Eid al-Adha greetings to the Iranian government and people, emphasising the importance of solidarity among Islamic nations in facing oppression and crimes.
