iQOO 15T officially debuts with 200 MP camera and 8000 mAh battery
Jakarta (ANTARA) - iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15T in China, highlighting performance advantages. The smartphone features a premium design inspired by the iQOO 15 Ultra, combined with a new rear camera module and a matte-coated frame that resists low temperatures. According to Gizmochina on Wednesday, 20 May local time, the iQOO 15T sports a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate up to 144Hz. The display panel is produced by BOE, supports peak brightness up to 4500 nits and HDR.
In terms of internals, the phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition 3nm chipset with an octa‑core CPU and the ARM G1‑Ultra GPU. There is also an in‑house gaming chip Q3 developed by iQOO, enabling real‑time ray tracing up to 2K resolution, enriching the gaming experience.
Regarding cameras, despite its gaming focus, the iQOO 15T is well‑equipped. The rear houses two cameras with a 200 MP primary sensor on a large 1.56‑inch sensor. The main camera supports 4x lossless zoom, up to 40x digital zoom, and 8K video recording. Complementing it is a 50 MP ultra‑wide with macro support. For selfies the phone has a 16 MP front camera with 1080p video capture.
On the battery, the iQOO 15T uses a second‑generation semi‑solid‑state battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh. The device supports 100W fast charging and a direct power supply mode when gaming to sustain battery life. Other features include stereo speakers, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Face Wake, an infrared sensor, an X‑axis linear motor, and IP68/IP69 protection with reinforced Rock Glass durability.
Pricing begins with the 12GB/256GB variant at 3799 yuan, the 16GB/256GB at 4199 yuan, then 12GB/512GB at 4499 yuan, 16GB/512GB at 4899 yuan, and the top 16GB/1TB at 5699 yuan. The device is currently sold exclusively in China in three colour options: Qingyun, Legend Edition (white), and Track Edition (black). It remains unclear whether the phone will be released globally.
