iPhone rental business booming ahead of Lebaran in Makassar

iPhone rental services have experienced strong demand ahead of Lebaran in Makassar, South Sulawesi, with business owners reporting a threefold increase in rental requests compared to regular days.

According to rental service operators at Ngerental ID gerai in Makassar, daily iPhone rental demand has surged from an average of 10 units per day to approximately 35 units per day during the pre-Lebaran period. Rental rates vary depending on the iPhone model, ranging from 100,000 to 250,000 rupiahs per day.

The spike in demand reflects growing consumer interest in accessing premium smartphone devices temporarily during the festive season, with many customers opting to rent rather than purchase new devices for holiday use and travel purposes.
