iPhone Fold Price Leak: Apple's Most Expensive Device Yet?

New information regarding Apple’s first foldable-screen iPhone is beginning to emerge. The latest leaks reveal estimated pricing, RAM, and storage capacity for the device, temporarily referred to as the iPhone Fold. According to recent industry reports, the iPhone Fold is expected to be priced from around $2,000 to $2,399 in the US market. This equates to approximately Rp32 million to Rp38 million (at an exchange rate of Rp16,000 per US dollar). In addition to pricing, the leaks also disclose the device’s memory specifications. The iPhone Fold is said to come with 12GB of RAM, a significant upgrade compared to many previous iPhone models. Meanwhile, its storage capacity is expected to be available in several options, with the 256GB variant likely serving as the base configuration. This is considered more reasonable given the device’s very high price, making it unlikely that Apple would offer a 128GB variant as the cheapest model. From a design perspective, the iPhone Fold is anticipated to adopt a book-style foldable model, similar to several Android foldable phones on the market. Apple is also reportedly developing hinge mechanisms and display panels that minimise the crease in the middle of the screen, making it almost invisible. Several analysts predict that the iPhone Fold will be introduced in 2026, possibly alongside the next generation of iPhone series. If these rumours prove true, Apple will be one of the last major manufacturers to enter the foldable phone market, following Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, and several other brands that have already released similar devices. Although late to the game, many analysts believe the iPhone Fold has the potential to attract a large market share thanks to Apple’s highly loyal iPhone user base worldwide.
